Diabetes

Diabetes is typically defined as a prolonged increase in blood sugar levels. Type 1 Diabetes is a result of the body’s inability to produce its own insulin, while Type 2 Diabetes is the result of the body’s refusal to utilize that insulin.

People with Diabetes may experience polyphagia, or increased hunger, polydypsia, or excessive thirst, and polyuria, or frequent urination. If left untreated, diabetic patients may suffer from peripheral neuropathy leading to amputation. Those with Diabetes are also highly at risk of developing Chronic Kidney Disease which requires dialysis treatment.

The most popular form of managing Diabetes involves a combination of oral medication and insulin shots from artificial sources. These do not treat the Diabetes, but help control the blood sugar levels of the patient.

JamPerine® helps the body produce its own insulin and allows the body’s cells to respond to it.
